Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated croissant dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup sliced pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, optional
  • ¼ cup marinara sauce, for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to three hundred seventy five degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into triangles. Add mozzarella cheese and pepperoni to the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll the dough from the wide end toward the tip to form croissant rolls and place them seam side down on the baking tray.
  4. Brush each roll with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese if using.
  5. Bake for twelve to fifteen minutes until golden brown and flaky. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Avoid overfilling to prevent cheese from leaking during baking
  • Pepperoni can be replaced with cooked chicken, turkey, or vegetables
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven for crisp texture
